Halloween Flix, the World’s Largest AVOD “Screaming” Service, is Now Everywhere on OTT
Don’t fear the dark… fear the light emitted from screens of all devices watching Halloween Flix. Oozing with hundreds of horror movies ranging from Cult-Classics to modern day Gore-fests Unreel’s newest brand to launch across all OTT platforms is here just in time for Halloween.
In September 2017, as an experiment between Unreel and several of our partner’s with horror related content, Halloween Flix was released on Roku and quickly gained 50,000 installs leading up to Halloween. This year, the library of horror movies and videos have expanded significantly and we have taken the streaming service onto iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku and Amazon Fire TV. The expectation is to more than double active installs leading up the holiday and continue strong growth moving forward as our expanded offering makes the streaming service relevant to horror fans year round.
Why Halloween Flix Works:
Halloween Flix is a prime example of a niche’ network thriving on OTT. With Unreel’s platform we were able to rapidly spin up a new brand, seamlessly integrate content from other streaming services using our platform, and deploy quickly onto all major OTT end-points. Once live, it became a matter of finding the specific audience interested in the content. In the case of Halloween Flix, because of the seasonal nature of the brand and its wide appeal, our audience has had no problem finding us.
